Student visa
Spain is world-renowned for its excellent educational system, with internationally renowned institutions offering innovative programs in a variety of disciplines. Studying in the country will give you the opportunity to improve your Spanish, expand your international network, and enrich your global perspective. Furthermore, Spain offers numerous job opportunities for international students, allowing you to gain professional experience and build a solid foundation for your future.
Please note:
-
If you wish to study in Spain for more than 90 days, you will need a student visa.
-
If your stay is for less than 90 days, you will not need a student visa; a tourist visa will suffice. You also do not need a visa if you are a citizen of a European Union country. This depends on your nationality.
According to the Immigration Law, you can apply for a student visa in Spain even if you have a tourist visa, as long as your immigration status is regular. However, it is crucial that you apply within one month of your tourist visa expiring, or within 60 days of your entry into Spain. If you do not meet this deadline, the Immigration Office will not accept your application, and you will lose your opportunity to obtain a visa to study in Spain.
This process is essential to ensure that you can enjoy a legal stay and continue your studies in Spain without problems.
Benefits
1. What studies can I apply for?
It is important that both the academic center and the courses you choose are valid for obtaining your visa to study in Spain. Before starting the application, verify that they are recognized by the Ministry of Education, thus ensuring the validity of your Spanish student visa.
2. Stay in Spain
With your visa or study permit in Spain, you can legally reside in the country for the duration of your permit, with the option to renew it.
3. Work while you study
One of its main benefits is that you can work up to 30 hours a week, gaining work experience and earning extra income to cover your expenses.
4. Come with your family
At any time, your immediate family members can accompany you by applying for a visa to reside in Spain. Your spouse, common-law partner, and your children under 18 or with disabilities may also come.
